Antiques and collectibles abound the Northern Neck, especially if you know where to look. One that caught my attention this weekend was Mundy Point Antiques and Collectibles. I recently visited the store in search of a special dresser, and I was blown away by all the pieces.
Mundy Point Antiques and Collectibles is part of a stunning farm setting. Set next to an old farmhouse, it’s a beautiful place to visit even before you start browsing the antiques. When I arrived, it was a chilly day, but I was greeted warmly by Tammy, the owner/artist of the store.
I had to keep reminding myself that I had come for one specific item - a dresser for my travelling guests. Thankfully, this piece had passed through my newsfeed, and it was waiting for me at Mundy Point Antiques and Collectibles. Tammy had kindly allowed me to call ahead, so when I arrived, she was ready to show me the dresser in person.
Tammy shared with us that she's the artist and finishes all the pieces herself, and that was evident in the quality of the pieces on display. As I walked from building to building, I was amazed by the variety of antiques and collectibles available. There were some jaw-dropping pieces, and I found myself wanting to buy everything I saw.
The dresser was finished by Tammy. It had character, style, and a story to tell. Tammy's finishing work had truly brought out the best in the wood, and I knew it would be a perfect addition to my home. This was the perfect piece to finish a guest room. The dresser was exactly what I had been searching for, and I felt lucky to have found it at Mundy Point Antiques and Collectibles.
As I walked around the store, I also made notes on some other items that caught my eye. There was another piece that I desperately wanted, but unfortunately, it had already been sold. Nonetheless, I was thoroughly impressed by the selection of antiques and collectibles available.
This store is a must-visit for anyone looking for unique furniture pieces in the Northern Neck area. Tammy's work is truly one-of-a-kind, and the quality of the pieces on display is outstanding. I know I'll be back soon!
